Dr. Katrina Thompson has earned a Summer Stipend through the National Endowment for the Humanities. The stipend provides financial support for full-time work by a scholar on a humanities project for a period of two months.
Thompson’s project title is, “A Multisited Ethnography of Nonconforming North American Muslims.” Her research and writing will lead to an ethnographic monograph on the use of language (both Arabic and English) to create communities of nonconforming Muslims in North America.
