Ph.D student Kathryn Mara has been selected as a 2018 Future Faculty Partner as part of UW-Madison’s Teaching Academy program. Future Faculty Partners are graduate students who have been formally recognized by the Teaching Academy as having demonstrated a deep interest in and commitment to higher education, and a willingness to commit to one or more years of active involvement in the Teaching Academy.
The UW-Teaching Academy was founded in 1993 with the purpose of promoting effective teaching and learning on this campus and nationally. This teaching community is made up of faculty, staff, and future faculty partners at UW-Madison run by volunteers who serve on an Executive Committee.
Mara is currently serving as Lead Teaching Assistant for one of African Cultural Studies’ most popular courses, African 210: The African Storyteller.
