Babatunde Opeyemi Salami is a Ph.D. student in African Cultural Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His interests are in film studies, performance studies, and domestic studies in Nigeria and Africa. His research explores how we can understand the radical definition of African family in popular culture, not only as a cultural work but also as a profound political work capable of reshaping public life and sociality. He has a B.A in English from the University of Ilorin and an M.A in English Literature from the University of Lagos.
