Address:
3rd floor, Bradley Memorial Building

I am currently the Fulbright FLTA instructor for IsiZulu. Prior to my arrival in the United States, I was a high school teacher in South Africa, my home country.

I graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with the following:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English and Legal Studies
  • Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English Studies
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education specializing in English and History teaching.

I enjoy writing, literature and the performing arts. I am part of an NPO that focuses on using the performing arts, specifically theatre, for community development. One of our plays titled ‘Vikimpi’, which speaks on Gender Based Violence, was amongst the top two plays in a Provincial Theatre Festival.

My time as a facilitator for an annual youth camp where we taught young adults about social cohesion, nation building, leadership and other topics is amongst the top reasons for my interest in community development, and my belief in a future where we can all enjoy unity in our diversity, as promoted by the South African coat of arms and flag.
