This event has passed.

1418 Van Hise Hall
@ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

As part of the ACS Work-in-Progress Series, this talk will explore Prof. Royston’s emerging research in the digital humanities with respect to podcasts, audiobooks, music, and other aural media centered on Africa. We will explore multimodal-research approaches to forms of digital cultural expression,  content created for the African mediascape, centering non-logocentric forms of knowledge production. At the core of these approaches includes a method of “close listening,” which has revealed “resonant filiations” between audiences and producers.
