Join Professors Henry J. Drewal and Elaine Sullivan for a conversation about displaying African arts in museums. Drawing from Prof. Drewal’s experience leading UW students in curating the African art gallery at the Chazen and Prof. Sullivan’s experience as a curatorial fellow for African arts at the Met, we will discuss some of the challenges, successes, and frustrations that come with working between art history and curatorial practice.
