Nneoma Onwuegbuchi successfully passed her dissertation defense in early June, earning the title Dr. Onwuegbuchi. Her committee included Professors Ainehi Edoro, Matthew Brown, Finn Enke (Gender & Women’s Studies/History at UW–Madison), James Yékú (Kansas State University), and Jacqueline-Bethel Mougoué.
After depositing her dissertation, Dr. Onwuegbuchi prepares for a quick move to Rhode Island, where she will begin a new position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Africana Studies/Rites and Reason Theatre at Brown University. Her appointment starts July 1, and she will be teaching gender in African(a) literature.
