Certificate in Arabic Language and Culture to be effective Fall 2024

The University Academic Planning Council (UAPC) has approved the proposal to establish an undergraduate Certificate in Arabic Language and Culture in the Department of African Cultural Studies within the College of Letters & Science, effective Fall 2024.

The requirements of the new certificate include the following:

  • 14 credits = 4 classes
  • Completion of 3rd and 4th semester of Arabic
  • 6 credits of Literature / Culture OR continue your language study to an advanced level!

It will also count courses (or have cross listed courses) from History, Political Science, Religious Studies and International Studies.
