Harry Kiiru awarded IRIS Graduate Student Summer Fieldwork Award, BLAC Foundation supplement, and Michigan State University Libraries Visiting Scholar award

African Cultural Studies Ph.D. student Harry Kiiru was recently awarded an IRIS Graduate Student Summer Fieldwork Award in addition to a BLAC Foundation supplemental award. He was also selected for the Michigan State University Libraries Visiting Scholar program to pursue archival research at MSU.

Both the IRIS award and the BLAC Foundation’s supplemental award will support Harry as he conducts international summer field research.

And as a constituent of the 2023 MSU Visiting Scholar program, Harry will visit the university sometime between May 1 and Sept. 30, 2023 for onsite research.
