Yesterday, we welcomed students to the 14th floor to explore our languages. The event, Celebrate Languages!, was organized by the Language Institute and intended to help students explore the many opportunities they have for language study.
With the help of our Language Director, Adeola Agoke, some of our graduate students – Angeline Peterson, Harry Kiiru, and Jibril Gabid – and assistance from our Fulbright Language Teaching Assistants – Najma Ibrahim and Hana Asmaeil – we used greetings in a variety of African languages to expose students to some of the wonderful sounds of Africa!
