Babatunde Opeyemi Salami is a Ph.D student in African Cultural Studies at University of Wisconsin Madison. His interests are in traditional and modern African cultural productions, the Nigerian and African family unit, Nollywood and other popular cultural productions. His research explores how we can understand the radical definition of African family in popular culture, not only as a cultural work but also as a profound political work capable of reshaping public life and sociality. He has a B.A in English from University of Ilorin and an M.A in English Literature from University of Lagos.
